Prayer Requests
Prayer FOR THE CHURCH …
Almighty God, we give thanks for all Your goodness and worship You for the love that sustains us from day to day. We praise You for the gift of Your Son, our Savior, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. We thank You for the Holy Spirit, the Comforter; for Your holy Church, for the means of grace, for the lives of all faithful and just people, and for the hope of the life to come. Help us to treasure in our hearts all that You have done for us, and enable us to show our thankfulness in lives that are wholly given to Your service.
Lord Jesus Christ, through You, God has visited His people. Continue to visit the sick, those who suffer chronic disease or pain, all shut-ins, and all in nursing homes or hospitals, and grant health and recovery according to Your good and gracious will. Have mercy on those in hospice and on all to whom death draws near. Use our arms to console and our lips to speak Your word of comfort. And on the Last Day, raise us and all the dead and give to us eternal life. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen
