Rev. Fisher was born in Utica, New York. He graduated in 1979 from Clarkson University, Potsdam, New York, with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Rev. Fisher served as a Professional Engineer until 2003 when he entered Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, in the Alternate Route program. In August, 2006, he received his certificate for ordination. Rev. Fisher served his vicarage here at St. John’s Lutheran Church where he currently serves as their pastor.

 

 Rev. Fisher’s wife, Kathy, is from Queens Village, New York. She is a teacher at Christ Lutheran School in Woodside, NY. Kathy graduated from Concordia College, Bronxville, New York, in 1979, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in Education.

 

 The Fishers have four children: Mark (24), who recently married Jessica Easton and now resides in Roanoke, Virginia; Amy (22), who recently graduated from James Madison university in Harrisonburg, Virginia as a Journalism major; Michelle (18), who is attending SUNY Oneonta as a freshman; and Kristin (14), who is in the 9th grade at Long island Lutheran High School.
